About

I became a product manager before I knew that was what I was doing.

I was curious about how the business worked, why things broke between teams, and how all the pieces connected. Product gave that curiosity a name.

I ask a lot of questions.

An unexpected beginning

Before product, there was a kitchen.

  1. Taste
  2. Question
  3. Adjust
  4. Taste again

Culinary arts taught me something I still use in product: what someone asks for isn’t always what the problem needs.

Someone may say

“More salt.”

But the real issue might be

  • Acidity
  • Temperature
  • Texture
  • Balance

Requests aren’t requirements.

A few things about me

01

What I’m curious about

How businesses work. Why people behave the way they do. Where systems break. What happens when one small change affects everything else.

02

How I work

I usually start with “What’s actually happening?” before asking “What should we build?”

03

What I’m doing now

I’m working at the intersection of product, operations, technology and GTM, figuring out which real-world problems are worth turning into products.

04

Outside product

Cooking, discovering new cafés, traveling, birdwatching, trying new food, and apparently analyzing how things work even when I’m supposed to be relaxing.
